Where It All Started

Moa Gardens began with a simple challenge.

Each of our children was given $100 and encouraged to see what they could create.

Gracie spent hers on ten tiny dahlia cuttings with dreams of growing roadside flower bunches. Most of the plants died, but the few survivors were entered into the local A&P Show and somehow came home with first prizes.

What followed was years of growing, learning, experimenting and falling in love with dahlias.

Today, those ten plants have grown into thousands.

Not Your Average Dahlia Garden

All of the dahlias growing at Moa Gardens began as seedlings.

Every year, we plant a thousand seeds and produce flowers that have never existed before. Some become family favourites. A few are selected for further breeding. Others appear for just one season before disappearing forever.

Because of this, no two seasons at Moa Gardens are exactly the same.
