One of the best ways to end the day is with a soak beneath the stars. Our private hot tubs can be reserved during your stay, making them the perfect addition to family reunions, celebrations and group getaways.

We recommend reserving your preferred hot tub sessions when making your accommodation enquiry.

Our Group Lodge is available for exclusive private hire during our quieter seasons:

April – June

During our summer dahlia season, the lodge becomes part of the Moa Gardens visitor experience while the gardens are open to the public.

How many people can the lodge accommodate?

The lodge can sleep a maximum of 14 people.

Can we add private hot tub sessions to our stay?

Yes. Our six hot tubs can be booked during your stay, subject to availability. Simply let us know on your enquiry form if you'd like to include a hot tub session, and we'll organise the rest.

Is the lodge shared with other guests?

Your group will have exclusive use of the lodge throughout your stay. As Moa Gardens is a working property, you may also see our family around the gardens, campervan guests in their own area, or visitors enjoying the hot tubs. The lodge has its own private entrance, and we've designed the different areas of the property so everyone can relax and enjoy their experience.

Is there a minimum stay?

Yes. Our Group Lodge has a minimum stay of two nights.

What time is check-in?

Check-in is from 3:00 pm, and check-out is by 10:00 am. If you need different times, just ask. We'll always do our best to help where possible.

Do you supply linen?

Yes. All bed linen and towels are provided, so you can travel a little lighter.

How far is Oamaru?

We're just 10 minutes' drive from Oamaru, making it easy to explore cafés, restaurants, shops and local attractions while enjoying a peaceful countryside setting.

Can we self-cater?

Yes. The lodge has a fully equipped kitchen, giving you the flexibility to prepare your own meals and enjoy them together.

Is the lodge suitable for retreats or family gatherings?

Absolutely. The lodge is ideal for family reunions, workshops, retreats, clubs, and small group getaways looking for exclusive use in a peaceful setting.

Is there good Parking?

Yes. There is a large parking area near the lodge with plenty of space for cars.

Can we use the gardens during our stay?

Yes! As overnight guests, you're welcome to wander the Moa Gardens during your stay. While the dahlia display isn't in bloom during the lodge season, you'll still enjoy peaceful garden spaces, coastal walks, and the unique atmosphere that makes Moa Gardens so special.

Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes. The lodge has complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi throughout your stay.

Can I bring pets?

At this stage, no. We aren't able to accommodate pets at the lodge.
